An MMM needs two kinds of data: marketing inputs (spend and delivery from your ad platforms) and business outcomes (the conversions, subscriptions, or revenue you're measuring against). Maxma connects to both directly — you authorize once, and the pipelines handle the initial history pull and every refresh after that. No CSV exports, no recurring data requests to your analytics team.

- Data warehouses and lakes — the typical path for SaaS and other non-commerce businesses, whose outcomes (subscriptions, signups, pipeline) live in their own tables: grant read access to Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or an AWS data lake (S3 + Athena). Setup usually takes a technical team member about an hour, once.

Beyond Paid Ads
The model isn't limited to channels with an integration. Other business drivers — SEO, influencer marketing, offline TV — can be included too, via a recurring data drop agreed during onboarding. One trade-off to know: data that arrives through manual CSV uploads can slow the refresh cadence that automated pipelines otherwise keep weekly.
There's also a safety net. Because Maxma's algorithm measures from large-scale geo-location data rather than a handful of national weekly data points, it's less vulnerable to omitted drivers than traditional MMMs — if a driver isn't a substantial part of your growth, leaving it out of the model is generally safe.
